Getting Ready for Poland 2 – May 23-June 1, 2018

There’s so much sorting and packing and cleaning going on, it’s hard to keep track of the days as they fly past.

Brian and Haven are with Margaret in Ellaville, GA. It’s a good thing, even though we miss them terribly. Haven is being spoiled by Grandma, and that’s much better than her being here and experiencing the upheaval of her room and the whole house being empty. (Thanks, Margaret, for taking care of Brian and the Have-ster for me!)

Jack-Jack has been providing much needed emotional support during breaks.

Annora has been my right arm for this move. She rocks!

Okay… So… We bought three really expensive (for us) carry-ons from Osprey. But, boy-howdy! Are they well constructed! I’m hoping to do a review of them after we arrive in Poland. Let’s see how they hold up and work. I’m a little nervous about being able to take them as carry-ons on an international flight, because the size is just at the upper end of allowable. We’ll see.

“This is the final countdown yardsale!”

Virginia has been getting a lot of rain recently. So we had the yardsale mostly indoors.

Since we’re only taking our suitcases with us to Poland (though we are keeping heirloom things in GA), we had to sell a bunch of stuff!

I got in a fight with a steel bedframe and split the skin near my right eyebrow. There was blood. Annora was concerned.

Still working out travel arrangements for for Jack and myself. It’s complicated–its own blog post. Seriously. It’s crazy.

The basement gained a small lake when the drain tube from the dehumidifier dislodged from the window.

I think we’ll call it “Lake Movin-ta-poland-so-things-keep-going-wrong”. Ha!

Lunch and chai tea at Milan Indian restaurant helps everything.
