Driving From Joel’s and Liz’s, we made a couple stops. The second was at Ocmulgee National Monument.
The mounds are quite old ancient, and are much larger and more spread out than we first anticipated.


Below is a pic of the inside. Archeologists believe it was a meeting hall.















The heat index? 105° F–that’s 40° C!
In other words, it was unbelievably warm.
After looking around for a while, we hopped back in the car and drove to Ellaville.
