Ellaville and Rest – June 25-26

While Brian, Annora, and I were up in Virginia attending Sam’s and Rachel’s wedding, Haven was in Ellaville with “Nannie” (Margaret) having the time of her life! On top of getting her grandmother all to herself, it was VBS time at Nannie’s church. Woo-hoo!!! (The VBS pictures were taken by Charlotte Cason Wall. Thanks, Charlotte!)

On the trip down from Joel’s and Liz’s (when we had that crazy thunderstorm), we stopped at Griswoldville and Ocmulgee. Besides the weather being crazy-hot while at Ocmulgee, we started hearing thunder in the distance and decided it was time to hit the road again.

Check out this red Georgia clay! I even filtered the pic a little to the green end of the spectrum. It was that red/orange!

Tuesday, June 26, Brian and I picked up our eyeglasses from the optician in Americus, GA. (We’ve been trying to get medical things and financial things and, well, all-the-things squared away before we move to Poland.)

Afterwards, Brian took me out for lunch to a fantastic pizza place you have to know to look for in Americus. It’s kind of hidden. But… Oh to the My to the Cheesy my goodness! Their pizza is one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth! Yum!

And there’s this dog in the entry area. His lips, y’all!

And here’s the “glam shot” of my first all-the-time glasses.

Friday, Brian and I are taking the opportunity for an overnight trip *By Ourselves* and then picking up my parents from ATL early Saturday morning (they are coming for the weekend to say goodbye).
