North from Georgia

Donald Williams generously hosted us Thursday night. The quote from Dan Orme I found in Don’s house.

We came across this random, dilapidated castle in North Carolina. Brian said he thought it used to be an electronic gambling place.

Yes, the door was open. No, we didn’t go in. It looked kinda creepy and we were running behind schedule.

Our good friends the Dickens hosted us for the night, and we were able to witness Elianna’s coming-of-age ceremony at a birthday party for her and Acacia. It was incredibly special to share that time with these dear people. Happy birthday, ladies!

Note: If you are in the right place at the right time, Liberty is quite gifted at loading lots of luggage into small spaces and making it all fit. (Thanks, Libby!)

This morning, I get to hang out at the DMV to get birth certificates for Annora and Haven. The passport office never returned them like they were supposed to. They also didn’t send back my U.S. naturalization papers. Birth certificates: 1-2 hours at the DMV. Naturalization papers: 9-12 months. Ugh.

Tonight we fly out of Baltimore and tomorrow we arrive in Frankfurt. Brian and the girls will continue on a second flight to Poznan. I’ll disembark and take Jack on the train to Poznan. Whew!
