We are the Melton Family. We love to explore and spend time together. We moved from Virginia, USA to Poznan, Poland July of 2018. Figured that summer would be a good time to start a blog.

Meandering Meltons is written by me, Kami. 😁 (Thanks to my friend Chelsey Hoeft for the pic below!) I’m currently recovering from several illnesses (thank God, and thank you to my husband of 18 years), and am excited to feel good enough to do some serious exploring again. Aside from loving and dabbling in art, music, and the written word, I’m also the organizer for Inklings Alliance, and work with Lantern Hollow Press.

My husband, Brian, is an historian. He’s a guy with a great sense of humor who likes martial arts, nerdy stuff like Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, and taking care of his family. I may let him write something from time to time. If you see any videos of him explaining things–watch them! You won’t be sorry. Promise. He starts teaching at Adam Mickiewicz University fall 2018.

Annora is starting online high school fall 2018. She’s hoping that it will allow her enough freedom in her schedule to enjoy some of her favorite hobbies like martial arts, guitar, and photography. Yes, she’s just that cool. 😎

Haven is a good helper with making cookies, and undoing/doing laundry. 😉 She’ll be attending full time preschool in the fall, and I’m going to miss her infectious laughter all day long. But she’s going to love going to school! It’s bilingual and they serve the kids all the Hobbit meals (1st & 2nd breakfast, 1st & 2nd lunch, afternoon tea). All day long they get to play and learn together through hands-on activities. That’s right up her alley.

Jack is our sweet dog. Yup. We’re taking him to Poland with us. Isn’t he handsome? His job is to help us make friends when we take him for walks. 😊
