Catching Up – November 2018

November went by in a flash!

There’s a rather prolific quince/pigwa tree in our yard. We got over 200 pounds of fruit off of it! I had no idea what it was, how to use it, or who I could share the raw fruit with (most folks were as curious/confused as I was as to its use). This is about 20% of what we got!

Turns out they can be used a lot like apples–I made a few pigwa-crisps. 😉 But a lot of people like using them to make a special alcoholic beverage.

Meanwhile, daylight became less and less.

And…

We hosted Inklings Polska for the first time ever! Woot-woot! Four countries and three continents represented. More Inklings fun is yet to come. 😁

Meanwhile…

Most days I spent just trying not to be sick constantly. The kind ladies at the neighborhood Apteka (pharmacy) tried to help me out by selling me this unfortunately named supplement pill. 😆 I tried it for a few days, but it didn’t really work. It’s still in the bathroom, making me laugh every time I see it. Who named this stuff?! 😆

And my firstborn, beautiful, wonderful Annora turned 15! Many of her friends sent me pictures and notes that I compiled into an album for her. She was so happy that she cried. We miss our friends terribly. It was the perfect gift! (If those participating friends are reading this, thank you! …and if you still want to be added, just let me know. 😉)

By the end of November, Poland stepped closer to winter as the sun began to set before 4pm.

Baby is doing fine. 😊 Due the third week of June.
